Leadership

1 – Bring safety to the team.

Leaders who are most successful encourage others to express their opinions. Encouraging and respecting the team is a key role in creating a safe environment in which everyone has confidence in setting out their points of view.

2 – Make it happen.

Leaders are experts in making decisions! They focus the dialogue among team members to reach a strategic conclusion. As part of a natural work process, they are applied in “making happen” all times. Transmit the best orientations in a transparent way in search of the desired results leaving no doubts about the objectives outlined.

3 – Communicate expectations.

Great leaders are great communicators. The function of notifying the team about the performance of a certain period is part of the leader position. Alerting employees about the values of the organization ensures that the tasks are being performed correctly.

4 – Challenge the team to think and do.

The best leaders know the capacity of the team they work with, so they know exactly how to develop the characteristics of each employee. They use their own knowledge to challenge them to achieve ever more. They stand out in making everyone comfortable to grow. A good leader needs to distribute tasks consistently and safely. He must know how to delegate and trust his team and those who have taken over the responsibilities to which he has delegated.

5 – Be responsible with the team.

Successful leaders allow everyone to collect from each other. This is not to say that they are admitting a kind of control, but rather ensuring proactivity for the team. Acting responsibly with commitments to others is a sign that the leader also focuses on the group’s results.

6 – Give an example.

Not everyone practices what they preach and few are aware of their actions. However, they know that they are constantly observed, because they serve as a mirror to those who want to learn. The leader is the most targeted of the team, should be an example of excellence.

Employees want to know if they are performing well. Paying attention and appreciating ideas is a way of showing the importance of team members, thus creating a relationship of mutual trust. Listen carefully to the suggestions and questions of your team in order to analyse the information. A good leader needs to be discerning when giving feed back in order to contribute to the development of his team and also must be tolerant and humble to listen to the feed back which may contain comments that are not always pleasant but necessary for his own professional growth .

9 – Harness team talents.

Knowing the talent of the team is a point, but knowing how to use it is to be a born leader. Subject matter experts are able to use each employee’s unique ability according to specific situations.

10 – Ask questions and ask for advice.

“Knowing more and more” is the motto of a leader, he is constantly in search of knowledge. Asking questions and asking for advice from others helps in clarifying and developing activities.

11 – Solve problems.

Successful leaders face the problems ahead and know how to find the heart of the subject at hand. In this way, they learn not to avoid uncomfortable situations. A good manager needs to know when to “push” and “drop” the “knot.” It needs to be respected and not feared. He must know how to deal with his authority, but keep his respect with the team. It should persist in your opinions and strategies, but yield when you realize that you have made positive contributions from your leads. It must constantly seek new ways of accomplishing existing tasks so that they remain attractive and provide greater satisfaction during the work of all involved.

12 – Create positivity to the environment.

An inspiring leader knows how to create a positive work culture. Sympathetic, respected, and not stubborn, he understands the tone well enough to motivate employees. The pleasant atmosphere increases the willpower. A good leader should be aware that the goals are often very challenging and in this way must have the gift of communication to motivate his team and set an example in pursuit of goals.

The leader is a master who never stops teaching because he is always motivated to learn! Keeping your employees well informed is a usual practice of extreme value.

14 – Invest in relationship.

Leaders should not get worn out or focus on protecting their domain at work. Instead, you need to expand it, because your success depends on the success of others. Investing in the team relationship has the ability to make your business fly higher and higher. You must understand your team, your personal values, your difficulties and your assets and contribute to everyone’s growth.

15 – Know the influence you have.

Leaders love to be leaders – not because of power, but because of the impact they can create on others. You should plan the day, week, and month actions. Identify difficulties encountered by your team, actions taken and alternatives to achieve greater results in less time and with higher quality.

“Someone who has the power to influence others is a leader,” Chuck Swindoll said.
